El Gordo is our leading grey sire and a broad ribbon winner himself, as well as blue ribbon winner at the AAA National Show at 4.5 years of age. He is sire of numerous broad ribbon and Best Grey/Roan sash winners in 3 states and has sons standing at stud in 4 states now. He has been represented by progeny in the AAA National Auction. In 2005 his daughter, Arcady Viola, a lovely medium grey female, sold for $23,500 after spirited bidding. Her NZ buyers, Waimarie Farm Alpacas, were rewarded for their purchase when Viola's first cria, a rose grey female, was successful in her first show there, winning a Reserve Champion sash. El Gordo is a beautifully conformed, strongly-boned, medium sized male. He has a wonderful temperament, superb fertility and has proven a reliable producer of greys as well as solid colours, having been tried over any and all sorts of coloured females. His progeny's fleece commonly have exceptionally soft handle and lustre with a higher frequency crimp style. El Gordo may be made available for LIMITED OUTSIDE STUD SERVICES to select females, by negotiation. Some conditions will apply to his services.
