Our newest silver stud male to hit the scene. Paua's first cria has now arrived, born on April 20 and is an even light to medium silver grey from a white-faced, vicuna-shaded medium brown. Not a bad effort ! Congratulations Paua. PROVEN FERTILE AT 19.5 MONTHS OF AGE AVAILABLE FOR MATINGS NOW Paua is a perfect pale blue-rinse silver and carries the best silver grey genes from throughout our herd. He is well-grown, well-conformed and early fertile (successfully test mated at 19.5 months of age - pregnancy confirmed by ultrasound). He has been shown very successfully to date with 2 X 2nd places as junior then 3 X 1st placings as Intermediate in 2nd fleece, including Royal Melbourne Show 2008 and, most recently, another 1st placing as Adult. He has produced an amazing length of staple and has good lustre and softness with a medium crimp style. His dam, Perlina, traces back through her dam, Arcady Myriad (who is by Hope Downs El Gordo) to Bodeguero Mystique, whom we sourced from WA at the same time we purchased El Gordo. Mystique's dam is 1/2 sister (same dam) to Brooklea Ridge Callahan, a highly succesful grey sire based in Victoria. Perlina's dam, Myriad, is full sister to Greenwood Magician (MG), a successful show animal and now stud male based in Victoria. Paua's sire, Bumble Hill Shillac, was purchased by Arcadian and used for 2 seasons before being sold to NSW. Paua is one of 2 Shillac sons Arcadian now offer at stud.
