Corinthian continues to produce a very high % of females crias so far (~90%). Predominantly solid white or very light fawn, but also some colour from coloured dams. Fleeces are showing lustre, even, bold crimp and good staple length growth. Corinthian is available for outside matings. He is a keen worker. Multiple-matings discounts may be arranged. Corinthian made a big splash at his show debut winning 1st in Jnr White Male (19 in class) at Mt Pleasant Show (17 March 2007) and then taking out Champion Junior Male with lots of praise for his uniformity and excellent fleece structure from judge Ron Reid. Well-grown & very well-bred, Corinthian carries a bright white, very bundly, deeply-crimped fleece which extends uniformly from the top of his head to his tail and right down his legs as well as onto the chest. A very stylish, lustrous and soft-handling fleece with 'hair-free' profile. (see 'Stud Males' listing for details on Corinthian's sire, Crispin). Corinthian's dam, Empire Rose, is a compact, full Peruvian daughter of Jolimont Sculptor (dec'd) who consistently produces stylish progeny. Fleece pictured is from 2nd shearing. Corinthian pictured on October 2nd 2008, in 3rd fleece. 1st fleece stats (shorn October 11 2006) midside test by OFDA 100 (NEFT P/L) 21.90u, 4.54u SD, 20.7% CV SF 21.3u 2nd fleece stats (shorn October 6 2007). midside test taken early (August 2007) by OFDA 2000 (Micron Man P/L) 20.3u, 4.2u SD, 20.9% CV, SF 19.7u saddle and neck fleece weight combined @ ~3kgs for 12 months growth. bodyweight 65kgs at 16 months old. 3rd fleece stats (shorn October 8 2008 - 12 months growth) midside test by OFDA 100 (NEFT P/L) 23.09u, 4.48uSD, 19.30%CV, SF 22.2u midside staple length : 120mm saddle fleece weight : 2.85kgs total fleece weight : 5.25kgs bodyweight over 80kgs at 27 months of age. This is largely due to his excellent length of frame and good width of chest. His conformation is really excellent and very desirable.
